If you live in Lahore or anywhere in LESCO’s service area, you’ve probably had at least one of these moments: your bill arrives, and the amount doesn’t match what you expected, or the paper copy never showed up at all, or you just want to check your bill without driving to a LESCO office and standing in line. This guide covers all of it—how to check your LESCO bill online, what the different charges on it actually mean, and what to do when something looks wrong.
I’ve spent the last few years working on electricity billing websites in Pakistan, and LESCO billing questions come up more often than almost any other topic — probably because Lahore alone has millions of connections. So this isn’t a generic overview; it’s based on the questions people actually ask.
What Is LESCO and Where Does It Operate?
LESCO — the Lahore Electric Supply Company — is the distribution company responsible for electricity supply across Lahore and the neighboring districts of Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur. It doesn’t set electricity prices itself; those rates come from NEPRA and apply the same way across all DISCOs in Pakistan. What LESCO actually controls locally is your connection, your meter, your billing cycle, and how your complaints get handled.
If you’re outside LESCO’s coverage area, the same general process described here applies to your own provider too — you can find guides for MEPCO, PESCO, IESCO, FESCO, and other companies on our site.
How to Check Your LESCO Bill Online
You don’t need to visit a LESCO office or wait for the postman to check your current bill. Here’s the process:
- Go to our LESCO bill checker and select LESCO from the list of companies.
- Enter your Reference Number — a long number (usually 14 digits) printed on your most recent bill, typically in the top-right section.
- Click View My Bill, and you’ll be taken to the official billing portal where your current bill is displayed.
If you’re not sure about the difference between your Reference Number and Consumer Number, we’ve written a separate guide that clears that up: Reference Number vs Consumer Number.
If you don’t have a recent bill on hand: check your LESCO account through their customer portal, or contact your local sub-division office — they can usually confirm your Reference Number over the phone or in person once you verify your account details.
Reading Your LESCO Bill Correctly
Once your bill is on screen, don’t just look at the total. A few sections are worth checking every month:
- Units consumed — compare this to your last few bills. A sudden jump here explains most billing surprises before you even get to the taxes and charges.
- Billing month and due date — LESCO, like other DISCOs, adds a late payment surcharge if you miss the due date, so this is worth noting even if you plan to pay closer to the deadline.
- Tariff category — whether you’re billed as “protected” or “non-protected” changes your entire per-unit rate, not just the units above a threshold.
If any of this still feels confusing, our full breakdown — How to Understand Your Electricity Bill in Pakistan — goes through every line item in plain language.
LESCO Complaint Numbers That Actually Work
When your power goes out, or a bill looks clearly wrong, these are the direct lines for LESCO:
- Helpline: 118
- Toll-free: 0800-00118
- SMS complaint: 8118
- Central Complaint & Monitoring Cell: 042-99205461-2
You can also register and track a complaint through LESCO’s Customer Complaint Management System (CCMS). Once you submit one, you’ll get a complaint number back — save it, since you’ll need it if you have to follow up or escalate. If a complaint sits unresolved for too long, it can be escalated further through NEPRA’s own complaint channel, since NEPRA regulates all DISCOs including LESCO.
Why Your LESCO Bill Might Suddenly Be Higher
This is probably the single most common question we get, and it’s rarely a mistake on LESCO’s end. The usual culprits:
- Crossing 200 units — if your usage moves from, say, 190 units to 210, your entire bill can shift into a higher, non-protected tariff category — not just the extra 20 units. This is the single biggest reason for “my bill doubled and I don’t know why.”
- Estimated readings — if the meter reader couldn’t reach your meter that month, LESCO may issue a bill based on estimated usage, which gets corrected once an actual reading is taken. If your bill says “estimated,” expect an adjustment next cycle.
- A slow, fast, or stuck meter — genuine meter faults happen. If your usage pattern looks completely inconsistent with your actual appliance use, it’s worth requesting a meter check.

LESCO Regional Offices
If your issue needs an in-person visit, LESCO’s main regional offices are:
- Lahore City Region — 8-A, Shadman I, Lahore
- Lahore Cantt Region — 5, New Muslim Town, Lahore
- Lahore South Region — 38-D, Gulberg III, Lahore
- Lahore North Region — 6-A, Iqbal Town, Lahore
Your specific sub-division (based on your area — including Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana, or Kasur) is usually printed on your bill, and that’s typically the fastest place to get a local issue resolved rather than going through the main regional office.
Frequently Asked Questions
What areas does LESCO cover? LESCO supplies electricity to Lahore and the surrounding districts of Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur.
What’s the fastest way to file a LESCO complaint? Calling 118 or the toll-free 0800-00118 gets you a faster response than visiting an office in person for most issues, especially outages and urgent meter faults.
Can I check my LESCO bill if I’ve lost my printed copy? Yes. As long as you have your Reference Number or Consumer Number saved from before — or can retrieve it from your LESCO account or a local office — you can still view your current bill online.
Why did my LESCO bill jump even though I didn’t use more electricity? It’s usually either a slab reclassification (crossing 200 units), a quarterly fuel price adjustment applied by NEPRA, or an estimated reading that later gets corrected. Genuine meter faults are less common but do happen.
Is this an official LESCO website? No — OnlineBill.pk is an independent platform that helps you find and access your bill through LESCO’s official billing portal. We don’t issue bills or collect payments ourselves.
